Volunteers with St John Ambulance Cymru play a vital role in supporting their community. Whether delivering first aid at public events, helping to train local people in life-saving skills, or supporting young cadets, each role contributes to keeping Ystradgynlais and the surrounding area safe and resilient. Provide first aid cover at local events (e.g. sports fixtures, community gatherings, concerts) Support the training and development of young people through St John programmes (Badgers and Cadets) Help deliver first aid awareness and training sessions to the public Work as part of a team to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations Promote the values of St John Ambulance Cymru within the community
