A vacancy exists within the YVC for a suitable qualified and experienced Manager to take ownership and responsibility for the effective running of our Volunteering Centre. The Centre is a vibrant and active resource for the local community in itself, whilst also supporting the charity’s objectives as a sustainable social enterprise in the repurposing of furniture and the ongoing development of volunteering and community activities that support both people’s wellbeing and our environmental objectives.
The person best suited for this important role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, the premises and effective management of Health & Safety, Accessibility, Maintenance and all other areas of the Centre.

The continued success of the Centre will depend heavily on the effective input and involvement of the Job Holder; paramount to this is the need to engage and communicate effectively with all members of the Community and to work effectively alongside Colleagues, Partners and Trustees.

It's about helping a hard-pressed mum be able to buy her child a top with the label in, so they can fit in with their pals. It's about unlocking the potential of all the things that come in, with plenty of life left in them.
